Summary:
On February 8, 2008 the Governor's Workforce Investment Board convened the Governor's Workforce Summit
2008 at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD. More than 500 attendees, along with
Governor Martin O'Malley, Dr. Ken Poole, and two esteemed panels of workforce stakeholders, discussed how
to align and streamline Maryland's workforce system. Thank you to all who participated in the Governor's
Workforce Summit 2008 and contributed to its success.
